1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cup softened butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
Instructions
Step 1:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a muffin tin by greasing or lining it with cupcake liners.
Step 2:
In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda.
Step 3:
In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
Step 4:
Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture, mixing well.
Step 5:
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until fully combined.
Step 6:
Divide the cookie dough evenly among the muffin cups, pressing the dough into the bottom and up the sides to form cups.
Step 7:
Bake for 11 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still slightly soft.
Step 8:
Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pan before removing.
