A Light and Refreshing Citrus Dessert

This Lemon Lime Sorbet is a perfect way to cool down on a warm day with its bright, tangy flavors and icy texture. Made with fresh lemon and lime juice, a touch of maple syrup, and zesty citrus peel, it’s a naturally refreshing treat that’s easy to make at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1/4 cup lime juice

  • 1/4 cup lemon juice

  • 2-3 tablespoons maple syrup

  • Zest from 1 lemon and 1 lime

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Simple Syrup

In a small saucepan, combine the water and sugar. Heat over medium, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature.

Step 2: Mix the Base

Once cooled, stir in the lime juice, lemon juice, maple syrup, and the zest from both the lemon and lime. Whisk until everything is fully combined.

Step 3: Freeze the Base

Pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container and secure the lid. Place it in the freezer for at least 12–24 hours, ensuring it’s on a flat surface for an even freeze.

Step 4: Creamify

After the base is fully frozen, remove the pint from the freezer and install it into the Ninja Creami. Select the Sorbet function and let the machine work its magic.

Pro Tip: If the texture looks crumbly after the first spin, add 1–2 tablespoons of water and run a Re-Spin cycle for a smoother sorbet.

Step 5: Serve & Enjoy

Scoop into bowls or cups and enjoy the refreshing citrus burst!
